VICE PRESIDENT FOR OPERATION ECOWAS BANK
Dr. Ashimolowo is a multi-skilled individual with extensive experience in Banking, Audit, Corporate Governance, Credit, and Operational Risk spanning over 30 years. He has held key positions in major financial institutions across Africa.
He is also a regular contributor to the body of knowledge on Technology, Banking, Accounting, and Audit issues where he sometimes serves as a facilitator amongst others. He currently serves as the Vice President for Operations at the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID). Prior to becoming Vice President for Operations, he served as Director for the Internal Audit & Evaluation of Operations at EBID.>Dr. Ashimolowo was a board member of the African Renewable Energy Fund (AREF) and currently serves as a non-executive director on the board of The Liberian Bank for Development and Investment.
He obtained a Doctoral Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Applied Business Research from the Swiss Business School, Zurich, Switzerland. He holds an MBA Degree in Finance from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He is a Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, United States of America, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), a Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), USA. He is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, Nigeria, and an Associate at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Ordinary and Advance diploma in French from Alliance Francaise, Accra Ghana.
